The Creative Genius Story
In 1947, Isaac Tigrett was born in Jackson tennessee. at the time jackson was 90% African-American and very much a segregated community. He grew up in a very prestigious well to do business family. Isaac’s father was involved in politics and was an inventor of products that he would patent and make lots o money off of. Growing up in the South, gospel music, the blues and rock ‘n roll. Isaac move to London in the 60’s to be with his dad after a difficult divorce. In 1971 Isaac partnered up with Peter Monton and open the first Hard Rock Cafe, Isaac was only 19 years old. He wanted to create a place where people could come enjoy a burger and beer and appreciate great music. Isaac also be came vary spiritually connected to a religious icon in India. He met Sai Baba in 1973, when he was called upon to speak to Sai Baba. It was through Sai Baba that Isaac developed many of his creative business ideas and most importantly the concept of House of Blues. Isaac would meditate using the Vedic Principles (Sathya, Prema, Shanti, Dharma, & Ahimsa). In 1992 Isaac opened the doors to his vary first venue, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Sai Baba thrive in the venues just as they did in Hard Rock Cafe. In 1999, after opening seven successful venues, Isaac stepped away from the HOB Company that he had masterminded. Today if you would ask ask Isaac what was the biggest lesson he had learned from his business career. Isaac responded by saying that the greatest lesson was similar to that of his father saying “Never miss the chance to be kind”.

Now the House of Blues is worldwide know for a place where you can study the history of Blues. Come inside the feel the blues.
